two-channel video installation, 2000
In James GleickÕs 1999 book Faster he states we spend 16 minutes
a day looking for lost things. Although this may be debatable, it was
the jumping off point for 16 minutes lost. The footage was shot
in real time and during various real scenarios. The two channel video
installation runs exactly 16 minutes (8 minutes per channel). Projected
onto the walls into a corner, the two channels run simultaneously. The
viewer may get lost watching it.
(16 minutes lost also exists in a single-channel version)

Art History 111 was taught by Lisa Jaye Young at Hunter College in New
York on Wednesdays in the spring semester of 2000. She taught this one
hour survey class 3 times in a row...10am, 11am, 12pm. Baldino filmed
each class one after the other. The first class was played back during
the second class and the second class was played back during the third
class (twice removed). Edited down to 6 minutes, Room 1503 in a row
reveals more about teaching than it does about learning.
