run gallery in williamsburg, brooklynan area now vital to the larger
art community because of its concentration of exciting artists, as well
as its innovative gallery scene. pierogi has monthly solo shows featuring
the work of emerging and mid-career artists in an eclectic range of media
and style.
the flat files are also an important
aspect of pierogi and began with the idea of making artwork available
to a larger audience. they house portfolios of original works by 700+
artists. the traveling flat files have been exhibited in london, vienna,
san francisco, los angeles, and elsewhere.
pierogi press is a bi-annual literary and arts journal
featuring the work of under-represented, as well as well known, contemporary
authors and visual artists. the cover of each issue is the work of a different
artist, which is hand silk-screened and signed by the artist. each issue
is produced in a limited edition.
