The Newcomers

The Newcomers is a 10 day architectural performance located at the historically significant 28 Liberty Plaza in Lower Manhattan. Joined by Lena Kouvela and Sarah Burns, the group will occupy a structure without leaving it. Each day they will turn their dwelling into a makeshift bridge to reach that day’s supplies. Once there, they will take the materials used for the bridge and improvise a new shelter for the evening. Through this process of building and unbuilding, the group will move across the plaza. Visitors are welcome at any time.
